Resolving Random Screen Jumping and Unexpected Tab Openings in RoverERP

Administration

Problem Statement

Users experience screens or tabs jumping randomly within RoverERP. For example, when attempting to add an attachment in a module, the expected screen opens, but another tab may unexpectedly open in the background on the previous window.

Symptoms

  • When performing actions such as adding attachments, additional tabs or screens open unexpectedly
  • The application appears to jump between screens or open modules without user intent
  • The issue is intermittent and may be difficult to reproduce consistently

Cause

  • This is a known issue in RoverERP, often triggered when users navigate or click rapidly within the program
  • Rapid actions can cause the application to get out of sync, resulting in unexpected behavior such as random tab openings or screen jumps
  • The program may not be able to recover from this out-of-sync state without user intervention

Resolution Steps

1. Slow Down Navigation

  • Avoid clicking rapidly or performing multiple actions in quick succession within RoverERP
  • Allow each screen or action to fully load before proceeding to the next step

2. Close Unnecessary Tabs and Windows

  • Periodically close unused tabs or windows within the application to reduce the chance of the program becoming out of sync

3. Restart RoverERP

  • If the application becomes unresponsive or continues to behave unexpectedly, save your work and restart RoverERP to reset the session

Verification

  • [ ] After slowing down navigation and restarting the application, confirm that screens and tabs behave as expected
  • [ ] Monitor for any recurrence of random tab openings or screen jumps
